Romania has received its first SAFE tranche of €2.5 billion, with the Ministry of Defense signing 13 out of 20 planned procurement programs. The military will spend €800 million on military equipment in the coming months. Some programs face delays or budget discrepancies, raising concerns about unspent funds. The Ministry plans to use part of the remaining budget for drone production in collaboration with Ukraine.
