Taxa UE pentru coletele mici a redus importurile cu până la 40%

The introduction of a European tax on small packages, especially from China, has led to a 30-40% decrease in imports to the EU, according to French Economy Minister Roland Lescure. France implemented a two-euro tax on non-EU online purchases in March, aiming to limit small package influxes. This was followed by a European customs tax of three euros per product type starting July 1, 2026. The measure targets mainly Chinese products that often do not meet EU standards. Despite initial revenue estimates being much lower than expected, the tax aims to harmonize regulations across EU member states.
