The unemployment rate in Brașov County slightly increased to 2.88% in July 2026, with 7,426 registered unemployed individuals. Among them, 1,183 receive unemployment benefits, while 6,243 are not entitled to any. A significant majority of the unemployed, 71%, come from rural areas. The educational background shows that 39% have primary education or no schooling, and 34% have completed gymnasium. The employability assessment indicates that 903 individuals are very hard to employ, while 549 are easily employable.
