The implementation of new gambling regulations in Brașov has led to the closure of 17 gaming halls this year. The local council will continue to enforce these rules, proposing to deny operating licenses for four establishments. Only one hall, part of Games International, may receive a license in a new location. Stricter conditions now require gaming halls to be at least 400 meters from schools and hospitals, and they must occupy a minimum of 200 square meters with at least 75 machines. Annual licensing fees have also increased significantly.
