Germany is set to record its strongest GDP growth in 2022, with a 0.3% increase in Q2, surpassing initial estimates. Business optimism rose in August, with the Ifo index reaching its highest level in a year. The economic growth forecast for 2023 has been revised to 1.2%, up from 0.7%. Despite concerns over high energy prices and low water levels in the Rhine, the economy shows resilience. KfW Bank has also upgraded its growth forecasts for 2026 and 2024.
