Innovative start-ups in Alba, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureș, and Sibiu will gain access to a new non-repayable funding source through direct debts. The ADR Centru signed a funding agreement on August 19, 2026, with Aster Capital, Iceberg+, and Venture Booster as fund administrators. The target budget is €8.06 million, with €7.05 million from ADR Centru. Over 40 early-stage companies will receive venture capital, with individual funding ranging from €50,000 to 10% of the fund's total budget. Unlike traditional bank loans, the fund will acquire equity stakes, allowing entrepreneurs to expand without monthly repayment pressure. The focus areas include IT, advanced manufacturing, and green energy. Aster Capital will manage the fund, aiming to foster an active innovation ecosystem in the Central Region.
