Depozitele populației și firmelor au crescut în iulie

In July 2026, resident deposits in Romanian banks increased by 0.5% compared to the previous month, reaching 684.55 billion lei. Year-on-year, deposits rose by 7.8%, but real terms showed a decline of 0.3% after inflation adjustment. Most deposits are in lei, accounting for 67.7% of the total, with a 0.9% monthly increase. Household deposits in lei grew by 0.5% from June, while foreign currency deposits decreased by 0.2%. Overall, deposits in foreign currency represented 32.3% of the total, with a 7.2% increase compared to July 2025, but a slight decline in euro terms.
