Canicula cuprinde România: Transilvania intră sub Cod portocaliu, maxime de 40 de grade
A new heatwave is expected to affect most of Romania, with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius. The National Meteorological Administration has issued orange heat warnings for several regions, indicating significant discomfort due to high humidity levels. The heatwave will persist from August 20 to August 24, 2026, with the highest temperatures forecasted in the west and southwest of the country. Areas under yellow warnings will also experience high temperatures, but slightly lower than those under orange warnings. Nights will remain tropical, with minimum temperatures not dropping below 20 degrees.
