With inflation at 11%, pensioners face a significant loss in purchasing power, estimated at around 310 lei. Special pensions, particularly for politicians and magistrates, highlight disparities in the system, with some receiving much higher amounts. The lack of pension indexation in 2025 and 2026 has resulted in an average loss of 600 lei for retirees, raising concerns about future adjustments.
