The A8 highway will extend approximately 125 kilometers in Moldova, connecting Ungheni to Budești near Chișinău. The National Road Administration has initiated a tender for the feasibility study, which will guide future design and construction phases. The complete route will eventually link Chișinău to Odesa, with the current focus on the Ungheni-Budești section. The estimated contract value is around 87.88 million Moldovan lei, funded by the Road Fund, with a deadline for the study set for September 30, 2027. This highway will connect to Romania's A8, with ongoing construction on the bridge over the Prut River.
