The National Integrity Agency (ANI) is monitoring 122 cases of individuals facing incompatibility or conflict of interest, following a constitutional amendment to the Integrity Law. This amendment allows for the automatic termination of public functions within 30 days for those with definitive findings of incompatibility or conflict of interest, provided the three-year prohibition period has not expired. Currently, 47 individuals still hold public positions despite these findings, including Timișoara's mayor. The ANI emphasizes the need for stricter regulations to ensure that conflicts of interest are not merely penalized with temporary salary reductions.
